Task 1 – BrainPop Solar System

Task 2 – Gravity and the Solar System Games

Use the following link to access the Gravity and the Solar System Games playlist.

If you haven’t already created your account, you must use your HISD and Google Classroom Login to create your account. You may be asked to create a username so please follow the instructions.

**Task 3 – Space Travel Guide Project

Use the attached instructions to choose and create a travel guide to the planet of your choice. Please follow the instructions carefully to receive full credit.

You can choose to create your guide in ANY format that you choose. For example, Prezi, PowerPoint, Moovly, Powtoon…etc.

YOU MUST make sure that the format you choose can either be accessed by a shared link (double-checking to ensure that it works) or can be uploaded to one of the Google products (slide, doc, etc.) Please ask if you need help.

To edit this document, you must click “view assignment” and click on the document.

You should be able to see the sheet. You will then need to open this document in Google Docs. To do this, you will click on the three dots in the upper right corner.

Click on “open in a new window”. Once the new document opens, click on “open with Google Docs” found at the top, in the center.

Complete the Web Search and fill out the attached sheet. . DO NOT HIT THE BACK BUTTON. To save, simply close the doc. You can reopen it later and edit.

To submit, you must click the “Turn In” button.

This week 4/13 – 4/19

This week we will be having live help sessions on TEAMS. I will post the link each day. Please check the schedule and go to the time that corresponds with your class period. We will have a 30 minute Team Time every day if you cannot make it to your scheduled time. Please read our online meeting guidelines and be ready with any questions you may have.

**Task 2 – GIZMOS

Complete the Convection Cells exploration and student exploration guide sheet. Don’t forget to submit.

When you are finished, take the quiz.

Don’t forget to come back and tap the “Turn it In” button when you are finished.

Task 3 – Create a Model of Earth’s Structure

Using household items, create a model of the Earth’s layers. Take a picture and upload to a Google Docs PPT slide presentation.
To submit your presentation, copy the “shareable link” and paste it as your answer here. DO NOT EDIT EACH OTHER’S WORK.
Once you submit the photo of your model, please take a “gallery walk” of the work submitted by other students and make comments using the Discussion Board Guidelines as a guide.

This week 4/6 – 4/12

Good Morning!

We made it through our first week. I have a couple of notes.

  1. Please make sure when you complete a task that you hit the “Turn it in” button.
  2. You MUST complete the Wednesday Check-In every week. Many of you did not complete it last week. This is NOT hard to complete, and it is not optional.
  3. We will begin having TEAMS meetings later this week so be looking for more information later this week.
  4. I am sorry that you weren’t able to edit the document last week. I am still learning how to do all this. In this case, just copy the information onto another Google Doc and submit it to the assignment.

Task 1 – Watch BrainPop – Rocks and Rock Cycle and take self-assessment online.

Task 3 – Complete the Rock Classification Lab and the attached exploration sheet and submit. When you are finished, take the quiz.
I will reset it only one time if you have a failing grade. Please let me know if you need it reset.

Task 3 – Create a rock cycle either using a Google Slide or on paper (will take photo and submit to GC)

Task 4 – OPTIONAL – Watch the video and answer questions for Lesson 4.6 Rock Cycle Processes using Google Docs and submit to Google Classroom.
